Gender or race, is it a major issue for this Election?

A major debate during this election season has brewed about the issue of whether or not an African American man or woman can run this country. I believe that it is not the issue about gender or ethnic background that is relevant about the persons capability to run the U.S. It is more important for us all to consider the candidates experience and background for this position. We are getting a bit touchy when it comes to considering this question, " should an African American or a woman sit in the oval office seat?" I believe that if a black man has the experience and the skill to run this country, then he is qualified to run for the Presidency. I also believe that if a woman has more experience and skill to run this country, then she is more qualified to run for the Presidency.
