Credit worthy?

I have decided to start working on fixing my credit. I used to have pretty good credit, but then I made the same mistake that many other people have made. I used my good credit to purchase a new home, which is a fixer upper. I did not realize all of the extensive work that needed to be be done on the home. Even though I had the house inspected before I purchased it, other emergency fixes had to be attended to. I made the mistake of acquiring a small loan, which was just enough to cover the cost that the handy man quoted to me. I was able to fix just a few things, but then my handy man left me hanging after he only completed one job for me. The remainder of the money was spent on other bills and ever since I have been left behind paying the high interest rate of the loan.

I have been paying for that move ever since I made the decision to acquire the small loan. I have learned from this experience that it is best to try to get a much higher loan when trying to do repairs on a home that needs extensive repair. One should never get only the exact amount needed to do the repairs, because of hidden or unforeseen circumstances. You never know what else might need to be repaired. I have made it my number one focus to consolidate my debt all into one payment, instead of paying 10 bills I will have one bill that totals less of the ten bills that I currently pay. My goal is to be credit worthy again in less than two years.

School Cafeteria's lunch program

It has come to my attention that our children are not receiving the same quality of lunch as we did when we were growing up. First of all, many of us public school students some years back did not have to pay for lunch at all. We all received a pretty healthy lunch and a snack. They have gotten rid of fruit, they have brought in watered down milk and in exchange have added junk food in their place.

Parents need to fight for our children's right to have a decent meal at school, because without it the children cannot function at all. There are many parents that are now required today to pay a fee for their children to have a meal at their school. If they do not pay up the school cafeterias often threaten not to feed the children at all or starve them. The way they consider it not starving our children is their current statement such as, " If you do not pay your child's lunch bill we will be forced to feed him/her a cheese sandwich and milk". Some have become bold enough to state that they will not feed the child period. I believe that this is a complete outrage. We have the North Carolina State education lottery. Why are our children suffering even more? I have written these words so parents can be on the alert. We have to fight for our children's right to have a decent meal in school. Working it out

So I am now learning a new avenue of blogging, which is paid blogging and it has been exciting. I cant seem to stop spreading the word on how easy it is to earn money online. My love for blogging

I would like to start off by giving myself, a thumbs up for making the decision to start blogging. Two years ago I had no idea what a blog was even though I had been reading them all along. Black history month

I just wanted to remind everyone out there that February is also black history month. We must not forget the struggles that our fore fathers went through to help us get to where we all are now as a people. We must all remember that when we think that life is just too hard and that it just seems as though it is not fair. We must remember that we can now sit any where on the bus because of a courageous black woman named Rosa Parks. We must remember that because of sit ins and rallies that were done by young African American groups every where, that we can now go and order out and be served at any restaurant. Let us remember that this month is month that we should all pay tribute to great people like Martin Luther King. Life is always a struggle, but we must remember that the war has been won because of them.

Mortgage Meltdown update

The mortgage meltdown seems to be spiralling out of control everywhere. It has spilled over into many different markets. For example, it has made the stock market crash, the interest rates go back up, and it has made the criteria for purchasing a home become a lot stiffer. This crisis has also made it much harder for people that work in this field. For instance, some of these people that have suffered a major set back are the real estate brokers, Realtors, mortgage brokers and the investors that purchase homes to be quickly re-sold.

I believe that there are some ways that we could help to get out of this sticky situation. This would include home owners trying to keep up with their mortgage payments by any means necessary. Some suggestions for this would include, getting a second job whether at home or out side of the home, making double payments on your mortgage and working towards paying off smaller debts, refinancing your current mortgage, finding a grant for historic homes and also trying to find a tax credit for historic homes.

As long as the mortgage companies get paid some how they cannot foreclose the home. Many mortgage companies need to try to work with homeowners instead of telling them if you don't send in a payment by your next due date you have to send in two payments next month by the due date, and if you don't send in the two payments by they due date you have to send in three the following month by the due date. We all want similar things, which mainly is for us all to keep our investments.

Beware of the televangalist

Since the day of Tammy Faye and Jim Baker there has been an increase of televangelists for many different faiths. They televise their programs on different days of the week now, not only on Sundays. Many of them ask their congregations to dig deep into their pocket books or wallets so that they can help give them a so called miracle, but one would have to ask themselves, "will I really receive one". History has shown that many of them live in lavish households. One would have to wonder how a modest preacher could afford to live such a lavish lifestyle.

Each year we hear about a well respected man of the cloth getting indicted for tax evasion. Why would a true man of God need to perform such an act? This means that many of their followers were duped into giving away their much needed funds. It is not OK to use Gods name to help them steal from people. Unfortunately, this is not only happening with televangelists. It is happening in many local ministries. Not all churches that collect funds is partaking in stealing from their parishes. At times these funds can go towards church repair and yearly church outings. People need to be wary of where they go to church at. They also need to watch ministers to see how they live. The best thing for everyone out there to do is to hold on to your much needed cash and if you want to donate, then donate a very small amount.

Over seas product's fall out

I have previously written about the need to end the free trade agreement made by our govenment with alliance countries. This needs to happen now! Every evening I turn on the news or check my email and read the headline, " product recall". This is becoming a regular statement. It is a frightening fact that America has begun to rely solely on the products that are made from over seas. Once again I will make the statement, " Buy American Made Products".

The government needs to start penalizing new companies for closing their factories and sending them overseas, so that they can turn around and re-sell the products to the same American citizens that they fired. What does the government expect us to go shopping with when the jobs were taken away and we have no money to spend to buy these products. These goods that we all are purchasing every day cannot even be inspected by the Food And Drug Administration. We have no way of knowing if the increase of tainted goods is because of malicious intent by some of these countries. It needs to happen now! This is the only way that we can keep proper track of the goods that are being grown and produced.

Employee retention

First of all, I would like to discuss the impact of employee retention in the work place. In many different industries employers may notice the sudden trend of constant call outs and an increase in lateness from workers. This may be happening, for different reasons. For example, tax season, family related reasons, flu season and of course work related burn out. These reasons can contribute to employees either cutting down their work hours, increasing their call outs, or completely quitting and changing work industries. This would help decrease retention by 80%. Everyone likes to feel as though they are contributing to something. They get tired of being ignored and not being rewarded for their major contributions. It is important for employers to appreciate their loyal and hard working employees achievements, and not to role all employees up together and punish everyone because of the unreliable ones.

My space warning to all parents and teachers

It has come to my attention that many of the young populous every where has become highly addicted to my space. While it may seem to be a harmless activity on the computer it can also be harmful to our children. Some of the reasons why it can harmful are, they can become prospected by sex offenders, people can use questionable pictures against them by selling them or posting them on the Internet, they also may just spend way too much time on my space and not enough time doing their home work or extra curricular activities. Teachers should be on the alert for students that want to spend computer lab or library time on my space. The children should be monitored at all times to help prevent this from happening. My space can be a fun program for everyone to learn from. I do not want to knock it, because it can be a great way for family and friends to keep in close contact with one another from a distance. Keeping watch of the content and time spent on the computer by parents and guardians can also be a great way for us all to safe guard our children.

Gender or race, is it a major issue for this Election?

A major debate during this election season has brewed about the issue of whether or not an African American man or woman can run this country. I believe that it is not the issue about gender or ethnic background that is relevant about the persons capability to run the U.S. It is more important for us all to consider the candidates experience and background for this position. We are getting a bit touchy when it comes to considering this question, " should an African American or a woman sit in the oval office seat?" I believe that if a black man has the experience and the skill to run this country, then he is qualified to run for the Presidency. I also believe that if a woman has more experience and skill to run this country, then she is more qualified to run for the Presidency.

Important life tips

Today I wanted to give a few pointers for good hair care. In a world of busy women it has been clear that our hair care can often be neglected. This can be because of many things. We are proud moms, students and business women. The generation has long since changed from that of our mothers time long ago, who always kept house, had time to do there hair and make-up and also care for the children and husbands. Today we are not only mother, but we also play the role of father. My task today is to remind everyone of us to stop and take a little time for ourselves. For example, take a hot bath after work, go get a massage or buy a massage chair to ease the soreness. If you just aren't any good at doing your hair then go to the salon every now and then. We only get one chance to take care of ourselves when we are young. When we are older all we have is nothing but time to think about what we should have and could have done with our lives. Lets all take the time starting today to give ourselves a time out.

America's Recession Risk

First of all, I want to make it very clear to everyone out there that even though the President and the media have been down playing the current state of our economy it is being made clear to all of the citizens who live pay check to pay check that we are definately in a recession. The price of everything has gone up drasticly. For example," food, gas, the cost of housing, utilities such as gas and electric, and basically everything else that is a neccessity to everyone. A main contributor for this recession is the loss of American jobs. Many of the companies are laying of their workers and moving their factories over seas, due to the free trade agreement the government made with countries that we are allied with. The ridiculous thing about this whole thing is that clothes and many other products are being made with next to nothing and then they are being shipped back to the U.S. to be sold by many of the same workers who are now unemployed. How can the government expect us not to be in a recession because of this? It has been going on ever since Ronald Regan was the President. No other President ever thought that there was a need to end this free trade agreement. Now we are all feeling the fall out of this circumstance. President Bush has come up with a short term solution to help impact the end of this situation by issuing all Americans an extra tax break bonus. He will be issuing these checks out as soon as March. Even though it will be appreciated by many of the people who receive these checks there will still be many who do not aquire any money. I will say it loud and clear for everyone out there who reads this post, that we all need to start contacting our congressmans and voicing our opinions about the matter of ending free trade. This is the only way that our jobs will come back to us. This is the only way that we can also properly monitor the products that our being made and sold here. It is becoming a regular fact that the over seas produce, meat and other goods are not being handled properly by the over seas factories. There may also be foul play that may also be the reason for the tainted goods. We all need to keep up with the slogan BUY AMERICAN MADE ONLY! This is hard to do right now because nothing is made in America any more. Go to the mall and start reading the lables, then it will become a reality to all. Please lets all start to stress this issue to our local congressman and most of all the current Presidential candidates.
