I have been searching on the Internet for a long time for legitimate work at home jobs. Most of what I found turned out to be scams or they wanted to get money out of you. I decided to start refining all of my searches, because it's all in the way that you word your title search. Many people may go to a search engine like Google or Yahoo and type in work at home jobs or opportunities. The result would be thousands irrelevant listings. Most of these sites are not legitimate.
After sifting through hundreds of these on your own it can be frustrating and make you feel like you should just give up. This is I new that maybe I should try to change what I typed in. I started to write, "legitimate work at home jobs, or opportunities". Be careful when choosing to write the word opportunities in your titled search. The majority of the time you may get search results full of companies that want you to pay a fee or want you to sell things. When you write in opportunity beside the powerful word, "legitimate", a lot more relevant listings will start to pop up.
I found out that you can also get some great information from web sites like CNN and other news related web sites. I found an article about a repeat series that was being aired on ABC last year called,"take control of your life". The story was by Tori Johnson and it was aired on April 28 2007. There were many companies that are real and need people to work for them at home. Most of the jobs that I found were in different industries. One of the companies that caught my eye is called Alpine Access. They use people to accept out bound calls from large companies from the comfort of their home.
The requirement is that you must have a great phone manner and voice, also a quiet place to work. You must have a ground line phone, high speed Internet access and a head set. You must purchase these items on your own. They pay you for the time you start working until the time that you clock out of work. The hours are flexible, but you must work a minimum of 20 hours a week. I was happy to find all of these wonderful companies that truly are offering legitimate work for people to do at home.
