I had the pleasure of reading a really great article this evening, which talked about how you could get internet and Hdtv with only one dish now. I think that this is astonishing and I didn't think that we had service like that available to everyone yet. Most of the time we all end up paying extra for each service or we bundle everything up into one package for a much higher fee.
I particularly do not like to get the bundle up packages, because they tend to not be worth it for me. I pay for each of my services one by one at time from different companies. According to this article, all you need to gain the option of internet and tv with only one dish is by obtaining a dual dish from either your cable provider or your satellite provider. The article explains that you can get a dual receiver from DIRECTV, or DIRECWAY service providers. I have also found out that you can get one from DISH NETWORk.
To use the internet with the receiver you would have to use the input and output cables for internet service, which connect into a high speed modem, and then connects into the computer. You can also share DIRECWAY internet service with more than one computer in your home. There service is high speed, but there is a half second delay. Mainly, you will not notice the difference of this, so just sit back and enjoy this service. Remember, what I'm saying you will only be getting charged for the monthly rate of the receiver, and not being able to use the extra's.
