Since this evening it seems as though I am in a game mood I thought I would let you guys know about another game that I found called AION. It is a beautiful piece to look at. Everything seems to be digitally remastered and very captivating to the audience.

The storyline of this game is fantastic. It is about a world called Aion that takes place in Atreia. Apparently there was some kind of devastating event that took place that split the world a part in to two. Now there are two types of divine beings that apparently live on both seperate sides of the world. The are called Elyos and Asmodians. They are two different types of divine races that do not get along with one another and so they fight each other. You can see for yourselves when you look at aion classes.

I thought that I would share with you guys my career plans this evening. As you all know the times have been getting really hard for everyone these days. People are getting laid off left and right and are also getting fired. The only solution to this problem is for people to go back to school, and to do this I have visited

College Search I have decided to go back to school to help me change my career. I currently work as a nursing assistant, but I am now going to school to learn more about computers. I will be taking the computer securities program at ECPI this November. I think that it will be a very interesting change for me, but I will not be getting completely out of the medical field. I will also be applying to get into a nursing program next spring.

It doesn't hurt to multi-task and have two careers. I say the more the merrier,so that is why I want to do both careers. I will be having a busy schedule in the months to come, but it will all be worth it.

Today I wanted to talk about how much I love the weather in North Carolina. I moved out here about eight and a half years ago when my son was just a baby. I was always used to the bitter cold weather of NY and it was much to my relief that the winter in NC isn't even close.

I went there to attend a friends wedding. Let me tell you the scenery is wonderful in Arizona, but the weather is something that you do have to get used to. At first, I panicked and I felt as though I couldn't breath, and this was because the air is a lot dryer there. I have always been used to humid or normal type air.

I think that this type of weather is great for people with allergies, because I did not have any allergy problems during my stay there. I also noticed that most people got to enjoy there very own swimming pool, and that also gave a lot of relief. I just wanted to gush about a wonderful man in my life besides my son. Even though we have only known each other for a short period of time, it seems as though we have always known each other. We started talking, finally around the beginning of January. He is also employed where I work, but we work opposite shifts. I think that this is safer for both of us, so we are not putting our jobs in real jeopardy. You never know what can happen with a job these days and we do not want to give them any reasons for letting us go.

I have been very fascinated by some really great perfumes out there. listen every girl wants to smell absolutely fabulous for their guy and every guy wants to drive the girls crazy with their scent. Hair growth experiment

I have had some trouble with my hair and hair loss within the past year. I used to use chemically treat my hair with store bought relaxers. I had been doing this for a couple of years now and the end result always is hair loss for me. The very last relaxer that was put into my hair destroyed it and when my mother rinsed the relaxer out she also rinsed a lot of my hair off with it. I was infuriated so I decided not to use the store bought relaxers anymore and to go to the salon whenever I want my hair relaxed.

The salon has a completely different strength to what we purchase at the store and your hair can be monitored for breakage and strength by a licensed professional. Since that incident I had decided to wear my hair naturally by braiding it with hair extensions by a hair professional. My hair has started to thrive because of this practice and I am wondering if I should even take the chance of using chemicals in my hair again. I have also started to take some B vitamins and vitamin K. I have also noticed that areas on my scalp that had become bald and been this way for years have complete new growth. First of all I would like to start off by saying a much needed welcome back to me on Fanatic. I have been extremely affected by the economy. So much so that I have been without internet access since last October. I hated not being able to write to my fellow Fanatic audience, but it just could not be helped.

How many of you out there are pissing mad about those government bail outs? I know that I am. I think that the government should have handed out some of that money to the people, especially since it is our money. They gave billions to corporations like AIG who then turned around and paid their Corporate executives millions in bonuses. I understand what the President thought when he handed out this money. He thought that it would fix the problem, but so far it has only put a small band aid on a huge sore.

Now tell me what do you think President Obama should do to help turn things around faster? I can say one thing people is he definitely has his work cut out for him, but I do think that he is the man for the job. He is not having it, he has demanded them to make those executives give the money back. He did say that he would be keeping a watchful eye on these companies and he meant business. First of all, let me start off by saying good evening to all of my Fanatic readers out there. I've been away focusing on my weight loss that I've lost track of my blogging again. Well I know that you guys are dying to know what's been going on with my progress and how things have been going with me. I am proud to say to you all that I have lost a total of 30 pounds since I started my change of life focus in June. I know to most people this sounds like a small number for the length of time that I have been trying to lose weight. This doesn't matter to me though, because I can lose 30 pounds in 30 days if losing weight was my only problem. Unfortunately, I did some soul searching and I realized that it's not about losing the most weight and looking thin for me, it's really always been about keeping the weight off. I have lost a lot of weight in the past and gained it all back within a couple of months or a year.

I have realized through prayer and meditation that I have always had a problem with managing my stress and depression. I do not want to get on any medication to combat these problems, so I use the aid of vitamins and herbs from Herbalife. I also drink lots of Chamomile tea, which really helps take the edge off for me. I have been single and have not even been asked out on a date since I had my son and he will be nine in January. I haven't even seen too many guys out here that would even peak my fancy. Most of the African American men out here do not even date African American women. Lets just say to make a long story short that these have been my major issues and major factor for gaining weight this time.

I have read medical studies that have proven that if you cannot manage your stress well, as I have proven in the past. That you will gain weight much faster than usual. You don't even have to eat cake every day. You will also gain a huge spare tire around the middle from this. Mainly the medical cause for this is because overly stressed individuals like myself produce a certain hormone in the body, which we all have, but they produce it in an excess amount which in turn causes the weight gain.

The name of the hormone is called Cortisol. Now you cannot fight the decrease in this by purchasing those crazy gimmicky products on the t.v. or on the Internet. Trust me those are all scams. The best way to fight the over production of this hormone is to get rid of the stress in your life or most of it any way. This can be done by doing yoga, drinking chamomile tea, massage, sitting in a sauna or steam room or using herbs that help to relax you. Once you try some of these things you will see that the weight will just fall off of you relentlessly.

I have lost 30 pounds managing my stress and tweaking my eating habits. I am also happy to announce that I have lost over 38 inches all over my body. With my exercise routine I lose more inches than weight, and this is just fine with me, because I can see my results faster than just losing weight alone. I just want to thank you all for reading this blog whenever you can and I really appreciate the input and comments that I receive from you guys. Blogging has also been a great way for me to manage my stress, because I have people to express all of my concerns and secrets too. I just wanted to touch base with all of my Fanatic's this evening and also give an update as promised about my endeared weight loss results. Now I am going to be very clear with all of you about why I gained and how I am losing. Mainly, the reason for my weight gain is just a lot of stress. I have been under a lot of stress for the past year and a half.

I used to be one of the people that would say that you couldn't gain weight because of stress and that saying so was just an excuse and a cop out. Well, let me be the first to apologize to everyone out there, I was definitely wrong. I have always experienced some stress, but none of which that was presented in my path last year. I will have to admit to that I got so fed up that I just quit. I quit eating right, exercising and trying to distress myself. I would come home from work dealing with stress and just get stressed out even more. I forgot that the exercise or even the tea's that I was accustomed to drinking helped me.

My life seemed to go from bad to worst, which aided in me constantly getting sick. Whenever I caught the flu I would always self medicate, because I have no health insurance. I ended up gaining a lot of weight, which led me to getting more and more tired. I even found myself getting depressed. Towards the beginning of June the flu basically kicked my tail and I had no choice but to go see my doctor since nothing over the counter seemed to work. This is when I really got my wake up call. I had no choice but to get on the scale that I had turned my back on. I was weighing a whopping 207 pounds. Can you believe that, I was turning in to a sumo wrestler. It made me sick to see the scale that day. From that day forth I decided that I would take it one day at a time and do whatever I could to move for at lease 30 minutes every day.

I did not change my diet right away, but I kept up the work out routine 5 - 7 days a week. Then because I was starting to feel better physically I started to lose a lot of the bad cravings that I had developed along with my weight gain. I mostly began to crave healthier foods, but I would also treat myself once in a long while to a small treat. I do not want to completely deprive myself, because I do not have any intention of gaining this weight back unless I have no choice, like if I get pregnant again in the future.

I am happy to announce that I have lost 5 inches off of my waist giving me a total of over 19 inches lost all over my entire body. I am very proud and excited that I am starting to slim down, but my goal is not to become a skeleton. I accept my body as is knowing that I have had a child already and that it cannot be the way that it was when I was 16. I will be happy with myself no matter what, because I have built back up my self confidence and that is a very important thing. Wish me luck all and good night.

Hey there everyone. It's been a while since I have posted on my blog. A few months to be exact and I really do apologize about that. I had no access to the Internet at my house due to financial woes. Everyone is getting bit by the big one these days and I have just about fallen into that category. Have you all heard about the mortgage melt down that is devastating our economy? Well that has been a big issue for me. Last summer I started to have trouble keeping on track with my mortgage payments. I even fell into the trap that a lot of Americans have fallen in, which is trying to save their house by paying their mortgages with a credit card or some sort of a loan.

I basically have taken out several loans and even a few cash advances to try to stay a float. I will have to say that I am definitely in financial distress. I will however, not say that I am royally screwed though, because there is always some kind of help or a way to get out of any bad situation. I have been slowly been digging myself out of debt by consulting with a credit repair specialist. As it seems I should have most of my debts paid off by the end of the year.

I also am getting help with paying off my student loan. I acquired a student loan through a bank shortly after getting out of the military. In the lump sum of $8000. I now owe $13,000 due to late fees and interest acquired. I did not get any of the benefits that I was supposed to be entitled to from the military though. If any one that happens to read my blog knows of any way that I could get some help trying to access military benefits I would really appreciate it if you left me a comment back. I probably have been trying to access them the wrong way. Both my brother and I served in the military and we have not been able to access our benefits at all. We are constantly told by the V.A. that we are not entitled to them, but I know that we have to be, because we both got out with honorable discharges.

I wanted to let all of you out there know about what's been going on with me these days. First of all, I would like to apologize for not putting up enough new updates and not enough new content here on fanatic. I have been feeling a little bit run down lately. Let me start off by congratulating myself on earning my first $108 doing pay per post. It has however taken me about three months to earn this money. I believe that this is due to our current recession. I logged on to check and see if I could grab some paid posts to do and frankly what they had to offer me was basically nothing. I would not recommend anyone to try to quit their job or bank on paying off bills from the pay you get from blogging. Other companies are not even as great as pay per post. They give you a run around and you sign up, but they never really give you work to do. I love to write so I think that pay per post is a great side gig. I hope that I eventually get some more work to do with them, so I will be right here eagerly awaiting.

Idol winner revealed

I am so happy to finally be able to know who the winner of American Idol is. After all of their hard work and sweat they all will get a chance at fame, especially even the final 12. I loved both of the two Davids who were left standing. They both deserved to be the two left standing, and I am happy to know that the winner of Idol is the older David, David Cook. I thought that David Archuleta was very cute and sweet and that he will also be cutting up the charts along with Cook this summer. This is the very first Idol where I felt that it didn't matter if I voted and I just didn't care who won, because I believed that they are both winners. So in my opinion there is no real winner of Idol tonight. They both will go very far and they really both deserve too. I wish them both good luck and also luck to the final 12 American idols who will be performing live all summer all over the country.

Healthy water

I recently got the chance to join in on the new wave water craze. A co-worker at work this past weekend offered me some of his oxygen powered water. Of course I took it, because I am willing to try anything at lease once. Anyway, he had me do three demonstrations to show everyone how I functioned without the water and then he had me drink the water doing those same demonstrations to show how I functioned better because of the water. Pamper yourself ladies

This year I have made the resolution to take more time out for myself and to pamper myself more. I think that too many of us women today are to focused on being the bread winner, mom, friend, companion and so forth. Many of us tend to put our needs to the bottom of the list. We always say I will get that new bra next month or as soon as I pay off those last two bills then I will get that dress. I think that it is definitely important not to be a shopaholic and make sure that your family has what they need, but we also need to find a little me time for ourselves.

I have started out by doing something as simple as changing the style of my hair. The process of me doing so has up lifted my spirits and given me a lot more self confidence and has greatly increased my self worth. When we continue to deny ourselves of certain things it can really lower our self esteem. I encourage all ladies out there to start off by doing some small inexpensive things like get your nails done, if you can't get them done then do them yourself. I always do my nails by myself. Remember to take time out for you this year, because not only will he notice it, but you will notice it too.

I recently purchased a Roth IRA for investment purposes, of course. It has barely been three weeks since I had done this purchase and I have already turned a profit. My monthly quota came in and I earned almost $500 on this account. Talk about fast, that is really fast and blessed news for me to hear about. I have been so worried about bills and the constant price hike of gas every day that my migraines have really gotten alot worst. Knowing this information helps me out alot and also takes some of the stress away. I am a single mom and head of house hold, which makes these tough times even harder for my family at times. Weightloss update!

I promised all of you guys that I would let you know what I was doing about my weight and any progress that I have made with it. So far, I have lost about 10 pounds. I am not even on a weight loss program or anything as yet. The plan is for me to start an Herbalife weight loss program and to work out at Curves fitness center. I haven't been able to start either plan as yet. I haven't been feeling very well for the past couple of days. The weight has been coming off due to the fact that I cut out one meal a day and added more water consumption throughout the day. Drinking the extra water curbs my appetite, and so most of the time I have to remind myself that I haven't had any food to eat in a while, and that I need to eat something. I definitely do not want to starve myself. Starving will only deplete my energy and deprive my body of the nutrients that it needs. The best thing that I can do to lose weight safely is to eat more smaller meals and keep drinking water. I have also switched back to drinking diet soda. I plan to rid myself of soda all together by the end of the month and only drink Gatorade,crystal light or Kellogg's K protein water. That will help me with my sugar addiction. I have learned that one of the main reasons for my weight gain is due to my constant craving for sugar. These alternative drinks have no sugar in them, yet they taste like they have sugar. I think they taste pretty good and it will be very helpful to my progress. My pants are falling off of my butt big time too. Back and Kicking Abs

The hit television show called Work Out on the Bravo channel is back and kicking. There are some new trainers, but let us not forget some of the old trainers that were on the show last season. For example, This season there is no longer trainers Zen and Doug. Doug Was a beloved trainer at sky sport and spa who will greatly be missed. I personally thought he was totally hot. He passed away last season due to a bad infection that he just could not get rid of. I'm not really sure what happened to Zen, but her kuirky humor will also be missed. The season premiere of workout aired on April 15Th and it was definitely all of the rave. Some of the new trainers were absolutely hot, and this season I can ultimately say that the show has alot of eye candy for its viewers.

Jackie seems happier than ever with a new flame. Although I do think their personal scenes are a little bit too much. I will have to say that I wish her all of the best and she gives me a lot of motivation to become healthy and to this time stay healthy for good. She is a wonderful role model for all women out there that if you want something bad enough you can make anything happen. She wanted this career for herself and has built a huge empire because of going for it. I will be watching every episode of Work Out this season. I have been working so hard that I totally forgot when my birthday was this year. I actually thought that it was last Friday, when it was actually last Saturday. This has never happened to me before, so I have decided that I need to give myself a little bit more pampering. Life can't always be all about making money and paying bills, Can it? Well I am going to start this year off by giving myself and everyone out there a shout out! We all deserve one every now and then. We can all get everything that we have ever dreamed of. So, I got off of work at 7:00 a.m. this morning and came outside to some beautiful weather. I did not even need to wear a jacket or a sweater. The air seemed to be extra crisp and clean, which is much better than it usually is. There was not even a cloud in the sky yet. I am definitely enjoying this fact, due to all of the continuous rain storms that we have been having lately. I guess it's true what they say, "April Showers". These showers to me seem like such a blessing, because more water means less drought for us. I will complete this wonderful day by working at home a little bit on chacha.com and then I will be heading back to third shift again at my regular job for another eight hours. Then I will prepare myself for my two twelve hour shifts on the weekend when I get home in the morning. All I can say to each and everyone out there is enjoy the day, because we all take it for granted much to often. We never know if this day might be our last really good day or last day of life. My New Years Resolution this year is to take more time for me and to pamper myself a lot more. Of course, most importantly for me to never put myself last.

I am happy to announce to everyone that the searches have really been picking up for me. I mean it has been absolutely non-stop on there. This is absolutely amazing for me, because that means more income coming in. This may be due to the fact that the CEO of chacha.com appearing on a live television show last Sunday. I have been a little bit depressed today. Yesterday, I had to pay a few more bills and also get a few groceries. What in the world is this world coming to? Is it me or is everything going up about $.50 every week now? I am so angry, because I spent $3.15 for one bottle of thousand island dressing. Well I ended up buying two bottles of salad dressing for this price. I got them, because I was tired of eating generic salad dressing. I am trying to stock up on things to help me eat healthier, since I am starting my weight loss regime in a couple of days. This country has lost it's mind. The healthy things are almost out of every one's reach and the unhealthy food is getting cheaper and cheaper. They must want us all to be in the emergency room having triple bypass surgery. The best thing that I can suggest to everyone is to go out and buy, like two Sunday newspapers each week. These coupons can really help a sister out, believe me, I know this. Hey, to everyone out there. I just wanted to give you guys another update about what is going on with my paid blogging. Well I will have to say that everything seems to have slowed down for me for about a week now. I haven't done any paid posts for Pay Per Post in just that long. I have decided to check in on the work every so often, but I have a lot of things to do so I am not going to just sit in front of my computer all day and all night like I did when I first got started. I do not think that this is even healthy. However, I will have to say that I have been getting paid for the previous posts that were already done by me. Have you guys noticed that since the middle of last year everything has gone sky high? You can tell when you go just to pick up a gallon of milk or especially when you have to fill up your gas tank. There aren't as many jobs to choose from either. Once again factory jobs have proven to be the most unstable. I heard that Freightliner laid off everyone on second and third shift this time. I think that this is horrible for people that need to feed their families. This is when I think it is definitely time for a career change. I don't know how many times I have to say it, "keep American jobs here, and don't let anymore companies go over seas". This has really sent the economy into a tailspin. Ladies and gentlemen the reporters are finally saying it, " we are in a recession". Wow, like we did not even know this. We have been in a recession for over a year now. A recession does not start when some higher upper officials decide to state the known fact. It starts when many jobs are lost, and when merchandise keeps on skyrocketing. My advice to everyone out there is please do not think that your job is secure, because at this point I do not think that any ones job is. Save enough reserve funds so that you can at least pay your bills and live for six months. This will help you to sleep better at night, trust me.

Today I have finally gotten a chance to make a start towards earning my wealth for today and the future. I finally got my tax return money a few days ago, and I vowed last year that whenever that money came I would take it all and open up a Roth IRA. The Roth IRA is much more than any regular IRA. First of all, the reason for this is because you earn more on the interest rate on this kind of an account. You can triple whatever amount of money you put into very quickly in a short amount of time. I also learned from my financial adverser that it is also tax refundable and whatever amount of money put into it throughout the year, you will get back when you do your taxes if you need it. SO if I can muster up $10,000 into this Roth IRA, not only will I earn on the high interest rat, but I will also get this money back next year. Now everyone, I will have to say that I do not have nearly anything close to $10,000 in this account yet, but you never know what can happen from April-December. I will be happy to post about updates and achievements from this account. So everyone stay tuned because there will be a monthly update about my Roth IRA starting in June. I want to give the account time to bloom first. My motto now is take care of yourself and never put yourself last.

As I have promised to all of my viewers, I want to keep letting all of you know what's been going on with this site and have I made any money doing the paid blogging as yet. First of all, I am happy to announce to all of you that, yes I have been making money with this blog. I have been doing some paid posts for Pay Per Post. They are the best company that is out there that will pay you to advertise for them on your blog. There are a lot of other companies out their that require everyone to bid on a paid post and to basically, fight like cats and dogs to get one. It's not like that when you work for Pay Per Post. Now that spring is finally here that means that summer won't be far away. Many of us tend to hibernate like the bears do in the winter time. We may tend to ease up on our exercise routines and indulge in a few more treats. I will have to say that I am definitely guilty of this offense. Around the colder time of the year I also tend to become a bit depressed. I love to see light and bright color, and there is usually less of this during the winter. Thus in turn, I sometimes do reach for the sweets. I have decided that I will start back my exercise routine with the gym called Curves this April.

I will also begin my weightloss program with Herbalife International. My intention is to change my way of life and that's what being on is all about, lifestyle change and eating habit change. The exercise routine at Curves is wonderful for any women who has had kids. They specialize there exercise circuit training to target those problem areas that most women have after giving birth. When I get to my goal weigh I will proudly post a story adding my triumph which will also include my before and after photo for all to see. My aim is to get into something comfortable this summer.

I am not saying that this will be easy, because nothing in life is ever easy. My motivation is for me to become a lot healthier and stronger. I have noticed that the added extra weight that I gained has put a strain on my back and my feet. My feet always hurt me now. I always have to take pain pills because of the back pain associated with my line of work as a certified nursing assistant and also the excess weight.

I am not really interested in trying to look like a teenager as some women strive to do. It is only my intention to be able to play outside with my son more with out being out of breath and saying to him, OK honey that's enough, mommy's tired. I think that is a sorry excuse for him and I want to be able to spend all the time that I can with him, because the time that we as parents get to spend with them goes by quickly. I will be sure to leave updates about my progress for all to read about every two weeks once I begin these programs in April. Movie Review (stop-loss)

I have been seeing advertisements about the movie Stop-Loss. This movie is basically a military movie that gives the public awareness about what is really going on with our young soldiers. It seems as though there has been a higher amount of military retention due to the war. Of course, who wants to join the military to go to Iraq and die. The government is very close to having to bring back the draft to replace the amount of soldiers that are getting injured, killed or are just getting out of the military and moving on with their lives. This movie is letting the viewers see what they have to go through i order for them to get an honorable discharge now.

In the movie the government issued that this soldier and his friends had to be automatically reenlisted and serve more time in Iraq, even though they finished their contract agreements. This in turn was the governments way of slowing down retention, and they call it stop-loss. They did their time fighting and they deserve the chance to move on with their families. The young soldier who is the lead in this movie is actor Ryan Phillipe as Sgt. Brandon King. After going back home he and his friends begin to adjust to the civilian life. It takes time for returning soldiers to adjust to life again and they had just started to do just that.

He gave the military all that he had as a decorated war military personnel man. They decide that they want him to do more and that his country still needs him. Well that's unfortunate for them, because this time Brandon decides to go AWOL. He decides that he is not going back to Iraq or back into the military. If a soldier goes AWOL this becomes a federal offense and that soldier has to live as a fugitive for the rest of their life or risk being captured and going to jail. I being a former naval personnel service member, will definitely be honored to go and see this movie, and I would advise everyone out their to go and see it too. It premiers on March, 28Th.

Retirement Woe's Pt.1

Every year people lose focus on what they are going to do when they retire. The most important thing for all of us to remember is that we control when we retire and how we live after we retire. The first thing that must be done by individuals is to start to prepare for this by opening up a retirement fund of some kind.

You can start off by taking out a company 401 K plan at your job. However, it is advisable that you take one out that has 50% matching. This basically means that your employer will put in 50% of what ever you put into the account. These accounts also incur interest and once left untouched can grow into a nice nest egg for you. You can also purchase one of these accounts from an investment firm, such as Edward Jones or even Wachovia. I will advise that you earn more on the incurred interest when you purchase from an investment firm instead of a bank.

Other types of retirement accounts that you can choose to open are IRAs,and Roth IRAs. They are basically called interest rate accounts. They are like savings accounts except that you earn a lot more interest. The difference between the two IRAs is that with the Roth IRA you can earn triple the amount of money that you put into it in a very short period of time. It is also tax free and tax deductible. This means that whatever I put into the account I would get back on my tax return.

I have also learned that the sooner people start a retirement fund the better they will get to live during their retirement age. Now there is nothing in the role book that says that because you have a retirement fund and you reach 65 years old that you even have to retire at all. A person could choose to use that money to live a little bit more comfortable, and still continue earning an income. People are starting to work until a much older age these days, because they choose too. Unfortunately, I will have to state that people also work at a much older age because they did not have a plan. They had no retirement fund and no company pension to assist them.

As time goes by it is becoming a fact that companies are not required to even offer their loyal employees a viable pension plan. Regular savings accounts are just a joke, because you earn very little interest on them. The safest thing that we all can do is get started with a retirement fund today.

Tips for saving at the pump!

For most Americans it is becoming an absolute struggle to purchase gas every week. You just never know how much you will have to shell out at the gas station any more. I thought that it would be helpful for me to write about this situation since we are all experiencing trouble from all of this drama. The main reason why we are having to bite the bullet at the gas pump is mainly because of the Iraq war. Before the war we were all complaining about spending $1.45 per gallon for the purchase of gas. Now we are all screaming about having no choice but to purchase gas at the outrageous amounts of $3.25-$3.65 a gallon. To make matters even worst many of the gas stations have started pushing back their pumps. Tip number one, people check out exactly how much gas you are getting for the money that you are spending. You may hand them $50 and only get $20 worth of gas. This is beginning to make us all really frustrated.

Tip number two, always fill you gas tank up. Don't put in just a small amount thinking that it will go down next week,because nine times out of ten it will be going up instead. Tip number three, try not to go from store to store. It will save you gas money if you try to get most of your groceries and personal items at the same store. I have always been one for hopping from store to store just to catch a good bargain, but this will add up in the long run. You will be spending the money that you save at the gas pump. There are also products that you can purchase that can stretch your gas and make it last longer at Home Depot or Lowe's. Always keep your oil changed, check your tires and have your car running smooth. Run your A/C only if you absolutely have too, because that also can waste gas. Try rolling down your window more. Single Mom's shout out!

This one goes out to all of the single mom's out there. First of all, I would like to start off by stating to everyone out there that I have been a single mom for eight years now. Basically, it was my choice to raise my son on my own. My mother has been helping me to raise him. His father was pretty much a player, but we were from the same school and pretty much the same neighbor hood. He would always seek me out at high school. I was pretty much a loner, because I was extremely shy. I am still shy, but having a child can make you open up and become more outgoing. I realized late in the game that I was lied to by him and that I was pretty much on my own. He acted as though having a baby was like playing with a doll and then going home to his girlfriend that he did not tell me about and then I would have to figure out how to feed him and shelter him on my own. I thank God every day that my mom did not throw me out of her house and say go raise your illegitimate child on your own now.

Unfortunately, this is what happens in African American community. A young girl gets pregnant and her mother says good, now you can how I had to do it. Go do it on your own now. My mother has always believed that a divided kingdom cannot stand. If we all bonded together as families and helped each other out, we would all have a higher standing in society. I was faced with the decision to either stay and end up homeless, because my mom could no longer find work in New York at the time or to move away to the South and make a fresh start. I also had to choose between taking a job in Manhattan that offered to pay me $20 an hour and moving. Some years after making this horrid choice I realized why I had to pray about my answer of should I stay or should I go. I may have been killed or severely injured, because this job was going to be in the World trade center.

I know that my decision was best for both me and my son. I am on my way to becoming a nurse. I hope that my story can help to motivate single mom's. We can do it, be mother and father to our children if we have to. It would be nice to have someone great in my life as a husband to be their for me and my son, but I know that I am glad that I am equipped mentally, emotionally, and financially to care for him. I am not interested in getting any type of child support for him, because it doesn't help and I think that it just opens up a whole new can of worms. This gives the fathers out there a chance to become a Thorn in a single mom's side and can also open up a whole new can of worms. I want to say to all of the single mom's out there that you rock and I want to give each and everyone of you out there a shout out, because we all need one from time to time. We will prevail and we can do it on our own. We can raise our children to be positive and have a higher standing in society one day. So this one goes out to all of you.

The bad Girls Club

I have been watching the Oxygen channel original series reality television show called the bad girls club. Basically they get some girls who have major issues with anger and self control to live together in a beautiful condo. The head of the house hold is the clearly the one called Tanisha. She is the one that tries to keep everyone in line. She has the loudest mouth in the bunch and she doesn't take mess from anyone. All the other girls need to watch out. I think that this show was a great idea to help these young women to finally deal with what has been ailing them. By the time the show ends they will all hopefully be leading fulfilling and meaningful lives. They will learn how to interact with one another and how to finally deal with confrontations the proper way, which would be in a civilized manner. I hope that everything works out for all of the cast members, and I will definitely be keeping track of this show every week Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. You ca also catch the re-runs in the daytime on Tuesdays and catch up on any missed episodes.

Spring is finally here!

I am so happy that I can finally say that spring is here. Early this Sunday we had to wind our clocks forward at 2:00 a.m. I have noticed that every where that beautiful blossoms are starting to bloom. You can also see some really cute yellow flowers on people's front lawns. It is also starting to warm up outside. I especially enjoy this, because it means that I will not have to endure another cold night in my house. The tree's are also starting to blossom and we will soon get to enjoy their beauty and shade in the summer. I think that Spring is the best season because it is not too cold and it is not too hot either. There is a great medium during this season and I am going to enjoy every minute of it.

Beware of online schools

I thought that this was a necessary topic for me to write about. There are many online schools that are popping up all over the place. I myself was even considering taking classes from one a few months ago. That was until I found out that some in some States some most schools would not accept the credits that you earned and you can even be denied testing for State boards. These boards would be in the nursing field. They state that they do not recognize these schools. They also want you to do an internship some where.

I had planned to earn my psychology degree online. I found a school that would let me do the entire thing online all the way up to getting my PHD even. Now of course after learning about this facts I will be reconsidering that decision. No one wants to spend money and waste their time studying for a degree that will not be recognized. A way to prevent wasting time or money would be to go to a recognized college with a recognized program that offers online classes, but also has internships.

A great school to consider for doing the nursing program would be Forsyth College. You can do all of the in class room hours online and go to the school to do the internship. I think that this is very reasonable for me to do, since I have all of my pre-requisites all ready done for the nursing program. I will apply for this programme in the fall of 2009. Wish me luck.

Teaching a child with a short attention span

I thought that I would discuss my dilemmas of raising a child who is very hyper and has a short attention span. Let me start off by sharing how old my son is. He is now eight years old and is a student in public elementary school here in North Carolina. I basically started home schooling my son at the age of one and a half until he turned six. He did not get to start school when he was supposed to at five, because it was too late to register him. He started school at six due to this fact. My son has always been very hyper, so I try to help him by letting him play a lot, and do physical activities.

I began to notice that he would be really interested in the stories that I read to him for a few minutes and then he would just get up in the middle of the story and start playing with his toys. I would have to call him back to sit next to me so he could finish listening to the story. He would do this again for a few minutes and then he would begin to wander off again. I realized that this could be a problem when he would start school. I would always explain to him that sometimes you will have to sit still for a little bit, but that he would get to get up and play eventually.

My son also has bouts with temper tantrums at times when he does not get his own way. He wants to do his own thing and at times does not want to listen to authority figures such as myself. What seems to work best during these times is when my mother or I read stories from the Bible to him, and then we explain to him that God says that children must honor thy mother and thy father. I believe that this confirms things for him and he will listen and calm down.

He started taking piano lessons about a month and a half ago, and I will have to say that I have seen a great turn around in behavior from him. It is my wish for him to join a little league team over the summer and to start him with learning to swim, and martial arts. There is a lot of discipline that is taught during these sessions. It is not only about learning how to defend yourself. I believe that these things will also aid in changing his behavior drastically. If there are any other parents out there that have experienced these types of symptoms in their child I would very much appreciate it a decent comment about this matter.

Trouble in Georgia

This past weekend a terrible storm blew past Georgia, and turned some homes into complete rubble. So far, there was only one fatality noted. I worried about the people and my family when I heard the news on television. It reminded me about the trouble that went on with hurricane Katrina. My experience in the Navy

I joined the Navy right after I graduated high school at the age of 18. I thought that it would be a great learning experience for me. I wanted a chance to get away from home and get out of my shell. All of my life I was always viewed as the sweet,shy,innocent,quite girl. This was what I considered my chance to break out of that mold. The time that I spent in the military was definitely a learning experience. I learned that you need to be able to depend on no one but your self. During my stay I had a long time to think about my life and what I wanted to do with it, because after graduation I really did not know what I wanted to become.

There were also some very disappointing times during my enlistment. One of the most disappointing times was when I was banned from taking my very first enlistment exam. In the Navy everyone gets to advance automatically until they become the rank of an E 3. After this period of time you are required to take exams to advance to the next rank so you can earn a raise. When it was my turn to take my very first advancement exam I studied night and day. I had other higher ranked ship mates help me study and question me all of the time.

Just two weeks before the exam I was informed by my Senior Chief that I was in eligible to take the exam at the time. She stated to me that I was too immature and emotional also too young to be aloud to take the exam. What that meant to me at the time was basically that my youth and also being an African American female was a disadvantage. After I was informed of this they told me that I had the option of re enlisting for another 4 years and that I would have to be sent to a new base. They also said that I would not be eligible to re take the exam for two years. At this point it was my decision to leave the Navy. I was given an honorable discharge.

P.S. I would also like to add to any Navy personell who might find this post to be not true or disturbing to them in any way, that this is all true and it really did happen. It was my experience on my last duty station that the African American's had the lowest rank. There should be no reason for anyone to be witheld the chance to take an advancement examination for the chance to make rank, because there is no guarantee that you will pass the exam. I knew people that had to take the exam twice before they passed it and made rank, and there chance was not completely taken away from them like mine was. That is discrimination in any branch of the millitary or civilian world. I believe that the discrimination was largely based on my youth and the fact that I had a baby face, and yes I will say it again because of my race.

Dry Eyes

I have been noticing for a while that ever since I moved away from New York and moved to North Carolina that I have developed allergies and very dry eyes. I suffer with this almost every day now. I notice that I also get a lot of head aches and migraines. I never thought that moving away from a city that was supposedly filled with smog into the country would make me so miserable at times. I have decided to get started with my spring cleaning early. I have already started vacuuming, which I will be doing every week now that it's getting warm. I will also include heavy dusting of my high ceilings, since they are over 6 feet high. This will help reduce the allergens in my household. It will also be necessary for me to use a humidifier every now and then and also purchase an air purifier. Once I complete these tasks I believe that my dry eyes and allergies will be great reduced.

Credit worthy?

I have decided to start working on fixing my credit. I used to have pretty good credit, but then I made the same mistake that many other people have made. I used my good credit to purchase a new home, which is a fixer upper. I did not realize all of the extensive work that needed to be be done on the home. Even though I had the house inspected before I purchased it, other emergency fixes had to be attended to. I made the mistake of acquiring a small loan, which was just enough to cover the cost that the handy man quoted to me. I was able to fix just a few things, but then my handy man left me hanging after he only completed one job for me. The remainder of the money was spent on other bills and ever since I have been left behind paying the high interest rate of the loan.

I have been paying for that move ever since I made the decision to acquire the small loan. I have learned from this experience that it is best to try to get a much higher loan when trying to do repairs on a home that needs extensive repair. One should never get only the exact amount needed to do the repairs, because of hidden or unforeseen circumstances. You never know what else might need to be repaired. I have made it my number one focus to consolidate my debt all into one payment, instead of paying 10 bills I will have one bill that totals less of the ten bills that I currently pay. My goal is to be credit worthy again in less than two years.
